Membership & Pricing
Proactive care. Predictable cost.
Every cat starts with a Discovery Visit that builds a real health baseline — then continuous, DVM-guided monitoring watches the trend between visits, so you see problems early and know whether treatment is working.
Today, care is a snapshot. Baseline + trend > snapshots. ScoutR fills the gap.
How membership works
From one visit to a continuous care signal.
No carrier. No waiting room. No stress. Four steps take your cat from a single snapshot to always-on health intelligence.
In-home or Care Day
Discovery Visit
Your DVM comes to you. Full history, physical exam, DNA swab, core vaccines, and urine, blood & fecal screening. Establishes your VCPR and seeds the risk model.
Delivered in 1–3 weeks
Health Profile
Your DNA risk map and screening results come back as a personalized risk profile with recommendations. This is the "aha moment" — the picture no single visit can give you.
Your choice, always
Why a Membership?
One membership, always-on care. Core vaccines stay current, biometrics are tracked around the clock, and your vet steps in early—before small changes become big problems.
Ongoing
Continuous Intelligence
Between visits: smart-device monitoring, AI pain & screening checks, unlimited telehealth, and a risk dashboard tracking your cat against their own baseline and a tailored care plan.
Step 1 · Required onboarding
Start with a Discovery Visit
Second cat 20% off. Fourth cat free. Choose the setting that fits your cat — the exam, DNA health screening, and vaccines are the same either way. Lab exams are recommended by your cat's individual lifestyle and risk factors such as age.
The Discovery Visit establishes your VCPR (Veterinarian–Client–Patient Relationship) — required in California before any telehealth or prescribing. It's also how we build the baseline every future alert is measured against. That's why it comes first, and why it's included in every membership path.

What you're actually paying for
"Continuous" isn't a buzzword. Here's the signal.
Every other model sees your cat once a quarter or less. Membership means we watch the trend between visits — and act before a manageable condition becomes an emergency.
Wearable · Smart device
A ScoutR smart device (or your own activity tracker) reads vitals and activity and flags changes from your cat's personal baseline.
Sylvester.ai
A periodic phone photo scores pain and mood using the Feline Grimace Scale — no clinic trip, no stress.
Risk engine
Lab values, wearable metrics, and DNA risk plotted against your cat's own history — deviation alerts, not guesswork.
Your care team
Every alert is DVM-reviewed and written in plain language: "Luna's activity is down — your vet left a note." Never an app-generated diagnosis.
DVM review
Regular DVM case review plus unlimited async chat and telehealth with a care team that knows your cat by name.
We don't just detect problems earlier. We track whether the fix is working — so you're never left wondering.
The smart device
A refundable deposit — then it's yours.
The collar is how the continuous signal starts. You put down a deposit at signup; membership covers the device from there.
- Smart-device deposit at signup deck: $99
- Fully refundable — or, at 15 months, the collar is yours to keep
- Covered by membership from year two onward
- Bring your own activity monitor if you prefer (reduced signal)
- DVM-gated alerts only — insights, never false alarms
Founding offer
First 100 members receive a $50 credit toward your cat's smart device, founding pricing locked for 3 years, and priority scheduling when your city opens.
The model, answered
How it works, in plain terms
Why do I have to start with a Discovery Visit?
Two reasons. Legally, it establishes your VCPR — in California, a veterinarian can't provide telehealth or prescribe without one. Clinically, it builds the health baseline every future alert is measured against. A membership without that baseline would just be more snapshots.
What's the difference between In-Home and Community Care Day?
Only the setting. Same exam, same DNA swab, same vaccines, same VCPR. In-home ($299 / $399 for cats 7+) means the DVM comes to you. Community Care Day ($199 / $299 for cats 7+) is a lower-cost entry point where you bring your cat to a Saturday clinic at a rotating location.
How does multi-cat pricing work?
It's automatic. Your second cat is 25% off and your fourth cat is free — applied at enrollment, no separate step.
Can I use my own activity tracker instead of the ScoutR device?
The ScoutR recommended Maven device is fully integrated into your ScoutR app. We will be offering additional integraions over time, such as additional wearables, smart beds, litter boxes and feeders. Other smart device signals can be manually transmitted to our team via the app and will be reviewed quarterly as part of your membership.
What if my cat needs care beyond my plan?
Anything past your plan's included visits and diagnostics is billed at member pricing — meaningfully below standard rates. Your DVM recommends; you decide.
How do I pay?
Membership is a 12-month commitment. Prepay annually to save 5% (this also collects your first year at signup). Prefer to spread it out? Ask about pay-over-time financing.
Secure one of the first 100 Discovery Visits.
Lock in founding pricing for 3 years, get priority scheduling when your city opens, and receive a $50 enrollment credit toward your cat's smart device.
They give you their whole lives — quietly, completely, on their own terms.
ScoutR exists because that quiet trust deserves continuous vigilance and intelligence — not an emergency visit when they're already suffering.
