Dental Surgery, Brought to Your Door — Laguna Beach

Dental disease doesn't always announce itself. By the time your cat stops eating or you notice foul breath, the infection has often been building for months — and it doesn't stay in the mouth. Untreated dental disease is linked to heart, liver, and kidney strain. ScoutR treats it before it gets there, in your driveway or at a neighborhood location nearby, without the stress of driving across town.

What Dental Surgery Actually Involves

Extractions, abscess treatment, oral mass evaluation, gum repair — the full range of what a pet's mouth can need. We don't guess. Every case starts with a real exam and digital radiographs, so the surgical plan is built on what's actually happening under the gumline, not just what's visible on the surface.

How It Works

Pre-Surgical Workup

Physical exam, dental evaluation, imaging, and a pre-anesthetic blood panel before anyone goes under sedation. This isn't an upsell — it's how we catch the pet who shouldn't be sedated that day.

Sedation, Done Carefully

Protocols tailored to your pet's age, breed, and health history. Continuous monitoring throughout, not spot-checks.

The Procedure

Performed by our veterinary team using minimally invasive techniques in the mobile clinic which is specially outfitted for dental care.

After Surgery

Recovery instructions, and Sylvester AI and your integrated smart device help keep watch for the pain and distress signals that are easy for even attentive owners to miss in the first 48 hours. This isn't remote guessing — it's monitoring layered on top of the in-person relationship we've already built with your pet.

Signs Your Pet Might Need This

  • Breath that doesn't clear up
  • Dropping food, chewing on one side, or eating less
  • Red, swollen, or bleeding gums
  • A tooth that looks broken, loose, or off-color
  • Pawing at the mouth, increased hiding or a mood shift that doesn't otherwise add up

None of these are things to wait out. If two or more signs appear, that's worth a visit or quick in-app message to your care team.

How Often

Most pets don't need surgery often — but most dental disease is caught late because nobody's looking until there's a problem. An annual exam is how we catch it while extraction is still avoidable. Pets with a history of dental disease or genetic predisposition need more frequent checks; we'll tell you what your specific pet needs, not prescribe a blanket schedule.

Why In-Home

No car ride your cat dreads. No waiting room full of unfamiliar animals raising everyone's stress hormones before the exam even starts. And because we've already built a relationship with your pet through regular in-home visits, we're working from a real baseline — not a stranger's first guess at what's normal for them.
